When we use the word value as a verb, we are to consider with respect to worth, excellence or importance. So when we talk about valuing God, we are asking ourselves, how worthy is He to us? How excellent, and how important is He to us?
God's simply amazing. He's had us in His mind way, way before we're born. Imagine how much He loves us, to plan and provide for us, and just look at the world around us...its filled with His goodness..his unconditional love, with no strings attached.
But God isnt just about blessings...He is the Blesser. He is the one we should desire to please..
And yet, many of His children, Christians..are busy carvorting in the world today, enjoying the passing pleasures of sin, getting distracted, resisting His good and perfect will..the bible says God is searching for one man, one woman, who will seek after Him, who understands His will..who is willing to beat the heartbeat of God..to share His great vision..there are billions of souls in the world today..thats thousands of millions of souls..and yet, its so hard to find men and womon who are willing to stand in the gap..who are willing to stake their life on God, to give their all to Him.
Indeed..we are already living in borrowed time..very soon, in the twinkling of an eye, we'll all be standing before our Lord..we only have ONE life to live, this ONE life that God has given to us..how much do we really treasure this one life?? Time waits for no man, and the psalmist in the bible cries out, "God, teach us to redeem the time, for the days are evil." Every breath we have, is a gift from the Lord. With every breath that we take, every moment we exist, do we have God in our hearts?
The harvest is plentiful....but the labourers are few. Let's not be lukewarm Christians, putting off to tomorrow what can be done today. Missing opportunity after opportunity to reach out, to serve the Lord. Something that I ask myself: If the Lord will require my soul tonight, will I be able to say I have done my best, that I had run the race, and fought the good fight of faith?
We all have our own excuses not to reach out, "Oh, he's not open." "I think he's not interested." "I've tried asking him already..." "Next week i'll ask..." ..these may seem like valid "excuses", but when we stand before our Lord and King who knows us through and through, will we be able to justify ourselves? Just like what xiu shared....our values will shape our reaction to situations and circumstances. If we value God, if we value His vision, we react by increasing our fervency in prayer, in fastings, in sharing the love of God. but if we dont value God, or His vision, our reaction will be one of complacency, "cant-be-bothered" attitude. Today, which values will we choose?
Let the zeal for God, for His kingdom, consume us! Our Lord is coming back sooner than we think..the time is now!

Like what i say last night...
the surrounding will change...
circumstances will change...
a person's character will change through time...
according to the times and seasons...
we often hear about "Change is the only constant in life"...
but yet there are somethings that will not change...
VALUES...
where you are positioned...
everything you do...
how you react to a situation, circumstances or problems...
is very very closely related to what are your values...
what are the things you cherish...
and these values WILL determine how you view a situation...
and bring about a reaction that might change the situation...
in life...
we always talk about priorities etc...
our priorities ARE SET by the different VALUES we place on the different things in life...
are you will to pay the price for the word of God...
if today...
you are to be put behind bars if you admit you are a christian...
or holds a bible...
what are your values? your stand?
bring it closer to life...
take for example the business breakthrough dinner with Dr. Rev. A.R Bernald...
you may not have ABUNDANCE at that moment...
but will you say that you are willing to even go without food..
eat home more for that few weeks...
just so that you can attend the session and recieve an impartation...
if today...
all you have is a few $10 dollars for the next whole month and God ask you to sow them all into the building fund...
will you choose to obey the voice of God...
or to look at the circumstances...
let's bring it closer to life...
building fund is coming...
if all you have after paying all your monthly bills etc...
is let's say $200-$300...
and maybe God speak to you...
to give $200...
which means you will not have much to spend..
eat home more...
no more cabs...
late night movies...
no more supper...
no more chilling out...
no more shopping...
will you put your trust in Him...
our God of MORE THAN ENOUGH?
or talk yourself out of it..
saying that it cannot be God...
let me tell you...
i SERIOUSLY don't think the devil will tell you to give more to build God a house...
and it is only the devil that will talk you out of giving...
if today...
you know that Jesus is coming back tomorrow...
what will you be busy doing?
praying for yourself to go heaven..?
reading the bible as much as you can and try to be spiritual..?
repenting of all your much accumulated rebellious sin hoping God will overlook them..?
let's bring it closer to life...
we are ALREADY now living in borrowed time...
Jesus is delaying His coming back...
and what we are you doing everyday..?
busy with every other things exceept the reason why He is delaying His coming back..?
or will you be urgent in spreading the love of Christ...?
touching lives...?
will you just be overly concern with the 99 you have...?
or will you be like Jesus, to seek for the 1 which was lost..?
take tme to think through...
reflect on what you would be doing...
because your actions are determined by your VALUES...
So what are the VALUES you have in your life...?
instead of just blogging about life..
why dont we take some times to reflect...
and share with one another...
so we can all get to know each other better and at the same time...
help each other to grow too.. =)

just like the stars in the sky…
You have set them acording to their place…
and burn according to their time…
though there will be times of clouds..
and times where the sky is bright and they cannot be seen…
but still they stayed unmoved from what You have set them…
and when their time comes…
everyone of them brightens up the night sky…
like the waves in the sea…
there will be times of low tide…
there will also come a time of high tide…
all set according to Your timing…
and every waves comes according to Your command…
each at their own timing…
every mountian top experience will follow by valley experience…
i can never conquer a higher mountian by standing on this one…
i only get to the next one by first getting off this mountian…
goes into the valley…
and go up the next mountian…
both experience are just as important…

hey people!
i'm here to do 2 things today!
1. To update a bit, although this isnt much of an update!
2. To post a prayer request, hence, updating. (:
Today i had my O level Science practicals. and i think it went quite well. I wana thank everybody who has been and will continue to pray for me for my O levels. i will list my examination dates down and it would be great if you could keep me in prayer. its something that i really need, now that my o levels are hours away!
My O levels will span over 3 weeks, and in the 2 weeks, i will not be able to attend church, but i'll be studying amd mugging hard at home, wil your prayers, i will emerge victorious, and do wonders for God! i cant wait till the O levels are over so that i can be part of the cell group to a further extent!

The Greatest Is Love
There are three things that remain - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (TLB)
Love is the first commandment of Jesus Christ. He says, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment" (Matt. 22:37-38). Love is also the new commandment of Jesus Christ: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another" (John 13:34). 1 Corinthians 13 gives us five very compelling reasons why we should love:
(1) Without love, all that I say is ineffective (13:1). Words without love are just noise. Love opens up our hearts to each other. It is not enough just to talk a lot without having love. We only listen and respond to loving words.
(2) Without love, all that I know is incomplete (13:2). Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up (8:1). It is better to have a right heart than just to have a head start. People really don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.
(3) Without love, all that I believe is insufficient (13:2). There is a misconception that being a Christian is just simply believing in certain doctrines. Guess what? Demons themselves believe that Jesus is the Son of God! But that doesn't regenerate them.
(4) Without love, all that I give is insignificant (13:3). People often give for the wrong motives of prestige, power and obligation. Unless you mix your giving with genuine love, your giving really means nothing to the recipient.
(5) Without love, all I accomplish is inadequate (13:3). Relationships are more important than accomplishments in life. Success without love is empty. One day, God is going to do and audit on your life. He will not focus on your accomplishments or the size of your bank account. Instead, He will look at your relationships to see how you have lived. The apostle Paul says this over and over again: life minus love equals to zero.
There are three other powerful truths about love. Firstly, love is a choice. You can choose to love whether you feel like it or not. Secondly, love is a sacrifice. The first time in literary history when the word "love" was mentioned had to do with Abraham sacrificing his son, Isaac (Gen. 22:2). Thirdly, love is serving people. Whose needs are you meeting today? Whose hurts are you healing today? Whom are you serving and helping right now?
